Subcision
At Zayf Medical & Aesthetics, subcision is a minimally invasive technique used to address the appearance of certain types of skin textural irregularities, including pitting and scarring. It involves the use of a fine, blunt-tipped cannula to release fibrous strands beneath the skin’s surface that may be contributing to the uneven texture.
Subcision is performed by a qualified medical practitioner, using a cannula for a more comfortable procedure with reduced trauma. Depending on individual assessment and treatment goals, the procedure may be combined with biocompatible injectable products, such as skin boosters, polynucleotides, or dermal fillers, which are intended to support hydration, tissue quality, regeneration and volume in the treated area.
Common treatment areas include lower cheeks, acne-scarred areas and skin with visible pitting or irregularities.
A full medical consultation is required prior to subcision to assess suitability. At Zayf Medical & Aesthetics, patient safety and evidence-based practice are central to our approach. All procedures are carried out in a clinical setting by qualified healthcare professionals.
